Transitions and Transformations

In Affirmation, Creativity, Intention, Retreat by adminLeave a Comment

Dear Friends,   On Saturday, September 22, an incredible group of women gathered to celebrate the fall equinox. To honor the transition of the long hot days of summer welcoming in the cooler shorter days of fall. We were blessed to have the opportunity to sit in circle and walk the sacred land near the Tonto National Forest. While locally in Arizona the temps have continued to hover in the 100’s the hope and promise of what fall brings was collectively held in our hearts. My friend and collaborator of the Harvest Home day retreat and I, intentionally chose this …

The BreakAway Girl – Secrets of a Tantric Yogi, is Published

I’m so excited, and truth be told I’m feeling a bit dizzy. After many months, The BreakAway Girl, has finally passed the editing and formatting process and is quite literally a published book. The waves of emotion I’m riding right now I imagine is how my husband feels when he’s suited up, crash helmet securely fastened, six-point harness buckled up, hands firmly gripping the wheel ready for a fast lap around the track. He’s shared with me that the anticipation he feels is a bit of a thin line. He fluctuates between excitement and joy, and “oh my God, I …

My New Years Camping Story

In Creativity by admin10 Comments

For those of you who might remember, I didn’t come to RVing or “glamping,” with grace. I arrived kicking and screaming. While growing up, my folks purchased a speed boat and we kids enjoyed water skiing as a summer sport. However, we weren’t campers. So, this camping thing – in a tent, sleeping on the ground, using outside facilities, was not my idea of a good time. After quite some time my husband …

Beauty. Blessings. And Bullshit.

In Creativity by adminLeave a Comment

It’s been six weeks since our little band of mystic heart pilgrims and I were surrounded by the beauty and blessings that is Bali. I close my eyes and return to the lush green rice paddies that terrace the landscape. Black lava pujas or free-standing altars dot the fields. Prayers flags wave a greeting in the soft morning breeze. In my mind’s eye, I spy a villager walking the path that meanders through the fields. He stops, places his cotton bag on the earth, faces the altar and closes his eyes. Then joining his hands together in prayer, he rests …

The Gnarly Rocky Road of Life

In Creativity, Psychology, Retreat, Self-Reflection, W.O.R.T.H., Yoga by adminLeave a Comment

The red dirt path takes a quick right turn. It’s filled with with rocks of various shapes and sizes that forces me to look down in order not to tumble. Making a little game of it I jump over and around the river rock. About a mile into the forest storm clouds form above the swaying tops of the Ponderosa pines. Thunder rumbles in the distance. Gathering force it shocks the stillness as lightening slashes across the sky, warning me that soon the monsoon rains will soak the parched earth. My emotions reflect the turbulent weather. I plunge ahead. The …
