Is Now the Time…?

Love yourself first and everything else falls into line.” Lucille Ball

Ciao and Sacred Sunday:

I’m curious how your “homework” from last Sunday went. I hope the sacred ritual was helpful and inspires you to take time for yourself on a regular basis.

After all, YOU are the most important person in the Universe.

Does that sound a wee bit pompous? Well, it’s not.

The fact is if you’re not making you a priority you’re probably not feeling physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually healthy.

And most likely not showing up fully in any of your relationships – professionally or personally.

Now, I’m not saying that 24/7 you’re 100% tapped into your highest Legacy self.  Because I don’t know about you, but I haven’t reached Buddhahood yet.

Though once upon a time my sweet mom introduced me to a friend, “this is my daughter Paulette. She’s a Buddha.”

How could you not 💖 a mother who thinks your enlightened!

What I am wondering today – are you paying enough attention to your own needs.

Do you know what your needs are in your primary relationships?

The sad truth is most people don’t because they’re over stimulated and living the busy life.

So, as usual I have a few Sacred Sunday questions for you…

Do you know what you need from your siblings, children, partner

Do you know what you need in your romantic relationship

Do you know what you need in your close friendships

Do you know what you need from your supervisor, co-workers, team members

Do you know what you need from your business

Do you know what you need from YOURSELF

The other mind-blowing thing I’ve learned over 30 years of teaching and coaching is that most people I work with can’t name their top five core values.

What the heck! Why not?

People not only don’t take the time to really contemplate what their needs are, or if their needs are being met, but they’re not able to say out loud what qualities they Value most in themselves and others.

Do You? Can you articulate them?

Clients often ask if needs and values shift over time? Of course! They grow with you as you live your Dharma.

And usually there are a few that are totally non-negotiable and unwavering.

However, if you’re not taking time to reassess, chances are you are NOT getting your needs met by the important people in your life.

And you know what happens when you’re not?

You feel sad, lonely, irritable, and fall easily into victim-mode.

It’s the same when you’re not living from your core values.

🤯Life feels hard and then you give your thoughts and emotions full rein until your brain explodes.

Today’s important take away is that the practice of self-inquiry needs to be an essential part of your self-care regimen. It’s as vital as brushing and flossing your teeth!

Core values, needs and thought work is one of the foundational pillars we explore when you work  with me.

If you’re wondering, is now the time for me to take that next step, don’t hesitate to reach out to ask your questions. I look forward to connecting with you.

With love and appreciation, xoxo Paulette
