Is This You?

Ciao Amica Mia,
 
Can you feel it friend? Can you feel the energies swirling around you? Intensifying! Can you feel how everything is moving faster and faster?
 
Does it throw you off your center? Does it heighten your anxiety and fears for the future?
 
Do you feel like “chicken little” running around in circles exclaiming in panic, “the sky is falling, the sky is falling!”
 
I have to admit before I began studying yoga philosophy and psychology, before I became committed to learning about how our brain functions, that was totally me!
 
When I became physically ill and sick of myself, I knew I had to breakaway and make a shift. Something had to change in order for me to find a little peace and joy.
 
I finally came to the realization that if life is only about spinning in circles, waiting for the sky to fall, then what the hell was it all for?
 
Of course, I’m not saying that every single day should be happy/happy with floating pink clouds, rainbows and unicorns. But come on, none of us should live every single day in fear, regret, anxiety or sadness.

My biggest breakaway moment was the realization that it’s not the circumstance of our lives that cause us to feel “negative” emotions, it’s the thoughts we have about the situation.
 
This is huge!
 
Life can be challenging, that’s for damn sure. And some of us are hit with more poop than others. But what I want you to understand is that your thoughts are the drivers of your emotions. And your emotions lead to the actions you take.
 
This too is huge!
 
So, if you learn to get a handle on your thinking you can make shifts.
 
You can breakaway from the rabbit hole ruminations and the emotions stirred that prevent you from taking authorship of your life.
 
By learning how to breakaway you will cultivate more joy and peace, more confidence, financial freedom, spiritual freedom and yes, more love.
 
How do I know this to be true? Because remember, I once was “chicken little.”
 
Sure, some days I get shaken, scared and want to pull the covers over my head and sleep away the distress. I wouldn’t be human if I didn’t experience times like that. But those days are no longer the norm.
 
And they don’t have to be the norm for you either.
